from the copyediting term, stet, for let it stand

The STETosphere bears its name from the copyediting term, stet, which is Latin for let it stand. Wherever stet is noted in a redlined or marked-up document, it indicates that text marked for deletion should be restored.

As copy editor and editor of The STETosphere, I not only review your prose manuscript for typographical errors, but am also available to provide feedback on how to refine your manuscript so that it reads in a clear and concise manner. I look forward to working with authors of all experience levels, which includes review of full-length prose manuscripts, chapbook-length prose manuscripts, individual short stories, and individual personal essays.
